When graphics card is in computer, it doesnt show up on monitor...?
i put a new graphics card in my computer, but when its in the monitor wont register it, same withmouse and keyboard. the computer is a hp compaq dc7100
specs:
pentium 4
240W powersupply
1gb ddr ram

for some reason the graphics card makes the computer not work, it still turns on and everything but doesnt show on monitor
why is this? is it because its a minimum of 300W card and i have a 240W power supply? i heard somewhere that that doesnt matter becuase the powersupply send power to the mobo and the mobo desitributes it... HELP

Your powersupply is so weak its pathetic. So is the graphics card you got... Standard now is at least 9400. Upgrade the powersupply to at least 400w but from the rest of the specs its time for a new comp.
