i can't boot from external dvd on my compaq 700 (hp mini 1000)?
i had osx on my netbook and i tried to update it to 10.5.7, but it didnt work and now osx wont boot fully. im trying to reinstall it using an external dvd drive, but the drive doesnt appear as one of the options in the boot priority menu when i press F9. obviously i cant install anything as i cant get into the operating systemso what do i do?
start over by changing the default boot method back to CD, pop in the CD...once you have that done, then you can get into the startup menu and change the boot back to external DVD, the comp won't recognize an external DVD for primary boot unless you specify this in the BIOS menu
