When i connect my printer to my PC i get the "USB device not recognised" message and it doesnt work.?
System: Compaq Evo D510 CMT
OS: Windows XP sp3
Printer: Hp LaserJet 1018
I checked this site and it told me to disable my USB 2.0 support which i did and it worked fine.
My problem now is i want a way to get the printer working without having to disable my USB 2.0 support.
1.Check if HP supports your LaserJet 1018 for USB2.0,if they don't then you can't do anything.
2.Downloading the lastest drivers from HP might help & also check if their driver is compatible to XP sp3 or not.
