Is an Intel Core Dual 7450 2.13ghz processor good enough for gaming.?
I just purchased a HP HDX16T custom pc with an intel dual core 7450 (2.13ghz) processor, 4gigs of ram and a 1gig dedicated Nvidia graphics card and a 500gig 7200 rpm hard drive. Is this system good enough for hard core gaming or only light gaming due to the lower end processor?
Ok so you have the GeForce 9600M GT. That CHIPSET (it's not a card) is ranked 192nd in the world. That thing will NOT run modern games very well. It's not even as good as a 9500 GT which I would only recommend as one half of a 9500 GT + 9500 GT SLI setup. The processor is not the issue, a Core 2 Duo is a mid-range processor, not a low-end one. You went and bought the laptop and NOW you ask if it's good for heavy gaming? The answer is NO IT IS NOT. A laptop that is powerful enough to game starts at about $1500. This is why intelligent people don't blow money on laptops for gaming. We use high-powered DESKTOPS.
