Will the motherboard for any of the Dell Optiplex GX620 form factors work in the SFF? (besides the USFF)?
I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 SFF and I need to replace the motherboard. I am confused by all the different models out there and I heard that the motherboards are all similar. Can I buy any of the different kinds to replace mine?
Since your GX620 is using a SFF motherboard I would recommend sticking with the same form factor. I have not personally seen a different form factor used in this chassis, but from looking at the Service Manual it appears that the screws and the PCI slots will not line up properly.
