Is 2048 MB of RAM good for a desktop computer?
I looking into buying a Dell GX620 Pentium D Desktop and I'm wondering if it has has a solid amount of memory. I generally have nothing to compare it to, as this is my first computer purchase, aside from my laptop.
I'll be using the computer for my home office, running a couple applications at a time. Will install Microsoft Office, iTunes (music and iPhone apps only), pictures and a program I'll use for my medical billing and coding business. It comes with Windows XP Pro.

2048 MB of RAM

Based on what you are using the desktop computer for, yes, 2048 MB (2GB) of RAM is good enough. Especially if your running Windows XP, 2GB will suffice.
The Intel Pentium D should also be good. In my profession, I've always seen that Intel products has always out performed AMD/ATI products, when matched with their similar counterparts.
A 400GB hard drive is huge based on what you are going to do with the computer. You should have no problems at all.
