Dell Optiplex gx620 sound help?
recently got this computer (Dell Optiplex gx620 Small Form Factor) but i don't seem to have sound. i have plugged in my vaio speakers, power on etc but windows says there is no sound device.
also when i try to acces advanced volume controls, an alert pops up saying 'there is no active mixer driver devices available'
also according to http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/dell-optiplex-gx620/4507-3118_7-31420314.html?tag=mncol;psum there is an Integrated sound card, and i am using windows xp pro.
please help, thanks!
The most likely cause is that you do not have the correct driver installed, if any at all.
The easiest way to resolve this problem would be to download the correct driver from the internet.
To do this its a good idea to use DriverMax as that way you will get the correct software and it will be clean of any nasties!
