Why can't I run dual monitors?
I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 and in the back I have a VGA and DVI input. I have tried using the VGA cord for one monitor and the DVI for the other. But whenever I turn the computer on, the monitor with the DVI input is in sleep mode, and the one with the VGA shows a screen at startup that says "System Haulted, insufficient graphics" or something like that.
Why would my computer come with a VGA input if the graphics were insufficient?
And the cords are not fualty they work on other monitors.
If you have Dual Monitors, could you tell me how your setup is?

the vga and DVI outputs on your PC are so you can run either a VGA cable or a DVI cable to your monitor. The ability to run two monitors is dependent on the Video card you have.
Based on your model, the only vid card that supports dual monitors (split image across both) is the ATI Radeon 256MB model. If you have the onboard vid or the 128MB card the only thing you can do is get a dvi or vga splitter (its a y cord) that will allow you to have the same image on both monitors.
