Uh oh. Is this normal?
I just bought a refurbished computer.
Pentium 4 Dell Optiplex GX280
2GB RAM
Windows XP.
250GB HDD.
I hooked it up. Everything is hooked up CORRECTLY (i'm not stupid.)
And I turn the computer on.
All that happens is..
the computer runs with a VERY VERY VERY VERY LOUD FAN. Almost as loud as a pretty loud vacuum. The monitor (not broken) stays off.
I have a Dell restore disk.
I put it in, thinking it may solve the problem, but nothing happened.
Is that normal? Should I just leave it there with the fan running and wait? Or...?
their are lots of mini Little things that could go wrong. mostly through the mother bord so be careful
