What type is the processor? If it's Pentium, it is really outdated for being equipped with an "ancient" CPU. If the the on-board video is also from Intel, that computer really deserved the "ancient" moniker. The RAM should be at least DDR2 & not DDR.
40GB is too small unless the OS is Windows XP which does not take too much.
