Is my video card good enough even though my processor sucks?

I have a Dell Optiplex GX280, 2gb DDR2 SD Ram 667MHZ, 1tb HD. I was wondering if I can run Far Cry 2, Crysis Warhead (Crysis 2). I am in the market for some new RAM, probably will upgrade to 4gb. Should I get a new processor? And if I do, what will be compatible with my motherboard? It is a standard Dell Optiplex GX280 Tower.

Sorry I forgot to include that the computer is P4 and the processor is clocked at 2.8 Ghz, not core duo
Your motherboard has 16x pci-e it should run the 9600GT
Probably the fastest P4 cpu is you can use 3.4GHZ they are expensive unless you get an OEM

You should ask Dell before you try a CPU upgrade to make sure of what will work in your motherboard
For less than half the cost of a new Pentium 3.4GHZ you could get a 775 socket motherboard and a Core 2 CPU
