my computer says the application or dll c:/WINDOWS/system32/apphelp.dll is not a valid windows image?
ok i really need help!!! i have a dell optiplex gx270 running on xp... i am trying to fix it so when i try to boot it up regular it loads then right b4 the desktop shows a screen pops up saying my computer says the application or dll c:/WINDOWS/system32/apphelp.dll is not a valid windows image.... why??? and how can i fix it....
when i try to re-install windows it lets me get to a certain point and says something about an error occured with windows and the computer is shutting down... check to make sure all hardware was properly installed...
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP
ps i have a used 160g seagate barracuda 7200.9 hdd would it be easier to install that??? how???

If windows keeps crashing during install its because you have a BAD STICK OF RAM. not from what these people are talking about. I had the same problem.
