250gb Hard drive only reading 127..bios updated?
I have a dell optiplex gx270 desktop that is fairly new but was given to me by my father.It only had a 40gb hard drive in it when i recieved it.I recently replaced it with a 250gb hard drive,and updated every driver in the computer including the bios drivers from dells website.When i go into bios and look at the hard drive info it reads a 250gb hard drive is installed,however when in windows xp drive c only reads as a 127gb hard drive ..can anyone tell me why,and what may be the problem,how can i fix this?
You might have to reformat it and partition it into two 127GB volumes.
