I have a dell optiplex gx260,1.8ghz,256ram , and am using windows xp pro will more ram speed me up and how much?
256 is barely enough to run the OS. If you run 2 or more applications, you'll start freezing up. You should upgrade to at least 512. If you plan on using graphics apps or games 1 GB is better.
