It is ok. The problem with your computer is that if you ever decide to play some newer games your computer might not be able to handle it.
You could spend $500-$1000 for a current tech computer that will be able to support games (of your genre that you like to play) for the next few years.
Currently game developers are reaching for the Core2 CPU technology and PCI cards as their benchmark for creating their games. Your P4 CPU might have trouble keeping up I am afraid.
