how to upgrade microsoft office 2003 to modern?
i have windows xp which i would like to keep but i have microsoft office 2003 and when i get a document via the net i cant upload it via word because its been done on a newer version iv checked microsoft website and they cost a fortune can someone guide me in the right direction thanks for the help yours caroline
You can download the free Microsoft Compatibility Pack to enable Word 2003 to read the new .docx document format. When you do, do the following to set it up to also automatically open the .docx documents when they're double-clicked:
1.In Windows Explorer, find a .docx file.
2.Right-click on it and select Open With.
3.If MS Word shows up, select it.
4.If it does not, click the Browse button. Navigate to the directory C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice11.
5.Find and select the file winword.exe.
6.In either case, check the checkbox Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.
7.Click OK.
