I've just repalced my D Drive - an old 3.2 gb HDD from somewhere. New 250 Gb Drive in - Windows doesn't see it
OK, I cannabilised my old D Drive from an ancient Compaq, just because it was there - that was 4 or 5 years ago. It was only 3.2 Gb but did OK for a while. I've taken it out and stuck in a Hitachi 250 Gb HDD (and yes I know I have a few software problems looming as some of XP Pro installed to the old D Drive - the next drive it finds?) Device Manager sees the new HDD but XP isn't seeing it (in My Computer for example)- just my C, E and F drives (all partitions on the same HDD which I'll worry about later).
This is probably really simple - and I knew I'd get this sort of problem but - how do I fix it!? Apologies for fluffing basic computer lessons!
