Why can't I continue writing to more CD's when I the files I put on the DVD exceed the 4.7 GB limit?
I'm using Roxio Creator Basic v.9 and I have 35 GB worth of data. I remember in the past that when I filled up a DVD, I would be prompted to insert a new DVD and it would continue recording. Why doesn't it do that anymore. Thanks.
Because most developers of DVD burning softwares decided to give that functionality the axe. Now, mostly you don't get that feature of continuous writing.
One of the causes may be due to the fact the they developers might have found coding for that feature hard to do or prone to error, or overall not worth it. And it may also be due to the fact that is the feature is not properly done, you'll have files half written in once disc while rest of it is ritten in the other, thereby making them useless nor increasing the chance of errors.
