I have an older Gateway PC and before windows loads it's asking me for a password?
It's an older PC, has windows ME on it, I've it for years, however I would like to give it to my cousin. When I boot it up in the Gateway tower it asks me for a password, if I pull the hard drive out and stick it in a new tower it boots up fine. Someone told me it a BIOS issue, but I'm not sure exactly how to fix that. Does anyone have any idea how I can bypass this?
did you set a password on it? if so then type in the password u set then go to start>control panel>user accounts> then go to change passwords or remove users
if not then try to type password for the password thats normally it and the user is normally admin
