How can you put two monitors on a desktop PC with only one graphics card?
I have an NVIDIA GEForce2 400/400MX Graphics card, running on a gateway desktop PC. I have two monitors, and I am trying to make a desktop bridge, I bought a VGA Splitter Cable Online, but all it does is show both screens the same. Can anyone please tell me how to do this? I also have 1 DVI Cable which I am trying to get my viewsonic monitor to run on, and one VGA Cable, which I am also trying to get my Dell Monitor To Run On.
Yes I do have all the plugins in the back of my PC...
I have 1 DVI Input
I Have 1 VGA Input
and I Have 1 S-Video Input.
If you want to put 2 monitors on your PC, just stack them carefully!
I take it you want to actually display video on them? Of course a splitter won't work for the exact reason you discovered. They both just display the same split signal.
Even if your card has 2 outputs, most are not dual-head capable. If yours is not, and it clearly isn't, you're going to have to buy a second video card.
