IDJ3 Audio distorted help!!!?
I recently purchased the Numark IDJ3 & it came with Virtual DJ. Now when I play audio off my laptop without connecting the mixer to the laptop the sound is perfect. But when I connect the mixer and the audio is coming to the headphones it sounds distorted. This also happens when I plug in speakers through the mixer. I have a 2.4ghz Gateway Laptop Dual Core 64bit w/4GB's of ram & running Windows 7. I have over 100gb's of free space on the hard drive. Not sure what is going on but when I connect the IDJ3 to my work laptop which runs windows xp pro it works fine. I've tried everything plugging into different usb ports, updating the driver, unistalling the driver & the software. Let them reinstall themselves and nothing. I need to get this working on my personal laptop. Please help!!
I've lowered all the volumes and actually heard the volume go down. But it still sounded distorted. I initially thought that it would be a volume set to high but its not.
Is there a way to adjust the audio levels? It sounds like some audio input or output level is set too high somewhere. Turn every level setting DOWN (including the headphone output) and go from there.
