How do I make this windows 95 game work on Vista?
We have a game made for Windows '95 but we used 2 be able to play it on XP. Now we try to play it on Vista, we set it to 256 colours and we can even set it to windows '95 mode but it says it "can't create driver dirdib.drv"
How can we fix this?

Hi, I am sorry but u won't be able to play this game on Windows Vista because Microsoft thinks that any user today won't run anything designed for Windows 95. There are dos emulators out so they will create a virtual dos environment so u could play dos games on it and u can if this game used dos on Windows 95 then it will run on this without a problem:

If it is a Windows 95 game that has to be installed then there are three ways:
1. Downgrade to Windows Xp(not recommended)
2. Dual boot Windows Xp and Vista, Xp has to be installed first.(up to you)
3. Download virtual pc 2007 from http://www.microsoft.com
You can create a virtual harddisk to install Windows 95 on and run the game while virtually running Windows 95. If u don't have a Windows 95 cd then u can download an iso image of Windows 95 that needs to be burned onto a cd to be installed. You can download it at:

The decision is up to you, you could also forget about the game all together, but I know some of those old games are fun huh?
