The STLang.dll error is a very common and annoying error which affects all sorts of computer systems around the World. STLang.dll is a file that is used by the Sigmatel corporation in its "C-Media Audio" drivers. This file has often been blamed for causing many different errors which appear when Windows boots up and are also the reason behind many audio problems as well. Fortunately, there is a simple and effective way to resolve this error for good.
The first thing you need to do is to uninstall the Sigmatel driver on your system. Windows will fill the void it leaves with its own driver, eliminating the STLang.dll error in the process. To do this, right-click on the "My Computer" icon in the "Start" menu and select "Properties". Then select "Device Manager" and scroll down to "Sound, Video & Game Controllers". When you see the audio controller, right click on it and click "Uninstall". This will remove the component from your system temporarily, and it will then be added again in a few moments with the default Windows driver.
This should resolve the issue but will limit your 5.1 surround sound playback. To prevent this being too big of an issue, it's advised that you download the latest c-media audio driver and then use that on your system. This should stop any of the errors from appearing.
To prevent problems like this in the future, it's advised that you keep all your drivers on your system updated and that you perform regular antivirus scans. You should also make sure that you keep the' registry' clean by using a registry cleaner tool to scan through your system.
