which is better and faster wi-fi or standard cable network?
we're planning to set up a networking at home for our dsl connection. which is cheaper? which has the most advantage for fast downloading? if we use wi-fi, will it affect the speed of downloads compare to a regular cable? we have three pc's on different rooms separated by concrete walls.i heard that it will lessen the signal for reception from the wireless routers?

You shouldn't get less data loss with a cabled network but you obviously don't have as much freedom. It is more secure that wireless is certain respects but with wireless security the way it is currently it's not at all bad to be on wireless.
I have found from running a wireless network that internet gaming is poor due to packet loss.
Be mindful of the distance of your cable as that can also account for data loss if you run cabling around your house. Most wireless adaptors and routers work well enough in your average home even though there are concerete walls 
Additionally you can get wireless signal boosters should you need to that can simply be plugged in a hallway somewhere to a power socket.
