Wakeboard tower racks are probably the most important wakeboard accessory you can buy for your wakeboard tower. Adding racks to your boat are not only a great way to free up space on your boat but they will help cut down on unnecessary damage that can be done to your boat interior due to moving the boards around on your boat (i.e. tears and damage to the seats and floor of your boat).
When it comes to choosing your tower racks there are some things you'll want to consider and keep in mind before you make your purchase.
- What type of boards do you personally use and keep on your boat?
- What type of boards will your guest riders be bringing onto your boat?
- Who will be getting the boards in and out of the racks?
- What type of finish is your boat tower?
- What type of water do you take your boat in?
Do you use a wakeboard, wakeskate, kneeboard, surfboard, skis, etc.? Think this through for most of your guest riders too. This will help you determine if you simply need some basic racks for your particular type of board or if you'll need any type of combination racks for your boat. Those are valid considerations but you will also want to consider what type of water you will have your boat in because if you ride in salt water or brackish water you will want to invest in an anodized finish for your racks. If not, you can choose polished aluminum or a power coated color to match your boat.
