It was good about 5 yrs ago.
Definitely need a RAM upgrade to at least 512mb.
HDD is small. Not sure if its worth upgrading it since they aren't exactly cheap.
You will be able to run most office applications, browse the web, etc...
I personally have a Compaq Presario that is similar is specifications except I have 512mb and it runs WinXP Pro rather slowly. But its bareable and will run most apps. But the ram needs to be upgraded. Otherwise, you may want to considering going with Windows 2000 to squeeze a little more power out of it.
