I have a fast PC, Duel 3 gHz processors, 2 GB Ram, Nvidia 7600/256MB, SoundBlaster Audigy SE but COD4 Runs Bad?
I just Installed COD4 and the frame rates are terrible and it does not run smooth. I have invested a lot of money in this machine and game and it runs like a dog. I can't even run good at 900x600
most games these days are graphic intensive so even a fast cpu can not draw all that polygons nearly fast enough... your video card is pretty ancient... so you need to replace that thing. for Nvidia you can go for a GeForce 8800GT ($115-140) or if you want to go for ATi they have HD4850 ($135-160)
personally i would recommend ATi 4850 but that really depends on your PC b/c you need to find out what interface your old video card runs on. PCI, PCI-Express, or AGP
