How do I know, if my Desktop PC, is compatible with a Wireless Lynksys N Router?
Hi, I want to buy a wireless router, that will provide internet to my computer, my dads, and my xbox 360, I'm thinking of getting a Linksys Wireless N Router, but how do I know if my computer supports it?
I understand that most computers support a G router but I want something fast, so where can I find out if my PC is compatible with a N router?

OK, thanks guys, but you see right now, I'm using a normal router, and I don't have a wireless adapter, but if I buy a wireless N router adapter I will get the full benefits of the N router?
Also does it matter what my speed is?
Your PC will connect to a N router no matter what kind of wireless card your have.
However, if you have a G card it will only connect at G speeds.
B= 11Mbps
G= 54Mbps
N= up to 300Mbps
To find out what sort of wireless card you have your only options are to either check the make model number or connect and see what thoughput you get.
You will still get some of the benefits of N even with a G - because N routers have a stronger broadcast signal - meaning you stand a better chance of getting a good strong signal at greater distances from the router.
