pc dell optiplex gx620 not working correct?
i recently cleaned my pc from inside , i removed all the wires and the heat sink and removed all the hardware then i cleaned it with a blower because my pc was stucking at places the stucking problem is gone but when i try to play any game or open any of the document the fan starts running fast and cpu usage goes upto 70% my pc is 3.4ghz p4ht before cleaning it didnt have that much load . i tried changing my operating system but no use is anything wrong??? moreover my fan is throwing the air from front to the back is it ok ?? i have a front fan.
Make sure the CPU's heat sink is latched on nice and tight.
Also, when you remove the heat sink, you're breaking the bond on the thermal paste/pad between the heat sink and the CPU die. You're supposed to clean the thermal paste off both the heat sink and CPU then apply a new layer of thermal paste. If you don't do this and put the heat sink back on as it is, you risk creating air bubbles between the heat sink and CPU; this can increase cpu temperatures significantly. I'm willing to bet this is part of your problem. I strongly suggest going out to buy some new thermal paste for your CPU. After that, look up some video guides online on how to apply it to your system.
Your fan setup is fine. This is normal in most BTX motherboard based systems. I've worked on a few Gateways that are setup like this.
