What is faster a pentium 4 3.2 ghz processor or an i5 450m 2.4 ghz dual core processor?
I don't understand my comp has an i5 450m 2.4ghz dual core processor and some games say they need a minimum of the pentium 4 3.2ghz which one is faster
Depends on the software. Dual core processors are only faster if the software was written to support dual core. If the software does not support it then it will run on only one core therefore the speed will be more important. This is a very simple answer and obviously doesn’t go into detail about the difference in architecture which is often even more important than clock rate or single vs dual. My first dual core laptop sucked for a long time until MS and others caught up and optimized their software to support it.
