Is the 11z Dell netbook/notebook fast?
I need a netbook for school since my laptop is too heavy for me to carry around. I like the look and everything of the Dell 11z but I want to know if its fast enough for college. I'm not planning on gaming etc on it but I will dowload a few programs such as Notron anti-virus Safari, etc. Do any of you have the new 11z?
I just bought one of these for my girlfriend. The computer is fast enough for college use, excell, word, web browsing, reading books online audio and video etc..
It is not fast enough to be lag free if you open photoshop , work on a big file 30mb plus and then surf the internet.
it comes with a win 7 upgrade which should make the comp faster.
So for normal use , its perfect but it doesn't compare to the xps 1330 that i have, I can hve multiple windows open, have programs downloading and be watching movies while hooked up to my bigscreen.
but it also doesn cost what the xps costs.
