i want to upgrade my processor on dell dimention 8200?
i currently have pentium 4 running at 2.00 ghz, i have upgraded the ram to 2gb and hard drive to 160gb 7200, i have done all i can do to make it faster, its ok but i want more speed, dont say "GET A NEW PC" i love my dimention, the style and quality of the tower are wicked, so what i want to know

the specs say the fastest you can use is a Intel® Pentium® 4 microprocessor 2.80 GHz processor
Its unlikely anything else would work (centrino, dual core etc forget AMD, Xeon different processors altogether) even if the pinouts were the same as you would probably need a BIOS update - as Dell do there own its unlikely they would invest in supplying one (they are more interested in selling you a new PC)
