My pc is an intel celeron 2.7ghz 2gb ram,60gb hard drive (upgraded from 256mb0and a graphics card of sis 650
I am getting a new laptop ,so is this laptop faster?

Core 2 duo is the bomb right now.
Celerons' are Intel's budget processors, and you are going to a Centrino.
X3100 is the baseline for integrated graphics, so don't expect miracles, however, the SiS650 was no miricle worker either.
Today it is a balanced system that is required. And if you are into games, and still have the chance to change your order to include a dedicated graphics card - I'd do it now.
Overall the whole system seems good apart from the X3100, so it may still prove to be fun.
