Should I just get a new computer or RAM upgrade.?
I have a Dell Dimension 4700. Thinking about just upgrading to maximum 4GB.
It has XP; Pretty fast.
But I want to upgrade to Vista and it's kind of slow with Vista as it only has 512 ram.
Should I just buy a new computer.?
My computer specs-
512mb Ram
3.0Ghz Intel Pentium 4
Dvd and Dvd+/-RW Dual Drives
ATI Radeon X300 128mb(May upgrade to 256or512)
If you're on a budget get more RAM. But remember, if you upgrade to 4 GB you need a 64 bit operating system so the computer will recognize it. 2GB is plenty for running everyday tasks in vista.
If you have the money for it, go with the newer computer. A dual core CPU will be a HUGE difference compared with a single core Pentium 4.
