Is $50 a good deal for this computer?
Nice case with neon Lighting; Pentium 4 2.4GHz Processor; 160GB Hard Drive; 768MB RAM Memory; CD-RW drive; Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 sound card; 6 USB ports; 10/100 Ethernet port, Fresh install of Windows XP SP3. It is very fast and runs great with no problems.
Depends on what you are going to do with it and how old are the drives.
I wold be concerned with the age of the drives. It sounds like a 5 year old computer and the drives could be getting close to failure.
Functionally, If it is to browse the web (Not play the most advanced web games), maybe do some basic word processing, spreadsheets, Quicken,. Then yes it would be a good deal.
If you want to run the latest games, no. Memory is too small, need a DVD drive.
Other then those concerns, my son & wife are running similar computers to do those tasks. I have replaced the hard and DVD drives on both computers.
