Having problems with my new video card. HELP?
Hey everyone, i just recently built a computer, anyway the specs are:
-Asus M4A785TD-V EVO Motherboard.
-Amd Athlon II X2 250
-2gb of ddr3 ram
-Nvidia gts 250 green. graphics card with 512mb of gddr3.
My problem is with the nvidia graphics card, everything works fine wih the integrated graphics on the motherboard, but when i insert the nvidia card, nothing is detected. i get no video or anything out of it.
I have checked that it is plugged in correctly, and attached the 6pin connector, still to no avail!
Could someone please help me with this?
Or im going to return it 
PS. I tried this card on a friends computer he had built, but it did not work either.

Yeah, i have already tried changing the order of graphics in the bios and ive treid disabling the onboard graphics.
My power unit is 600w.
Ive already tried running the software cd, but it cannot detect the card! im not sure what the problem is
Have you disabled the onboard graphics card in bios?
You may have to swap the detection order to PCI-E first?
The GTS250 requires a power supply of 450W maybe yours isn't supplying sufficient amps usually 24A on the 12V.
if it doesn't work, video cards do arrive DOA - good luck.
