How can I extract a copy of Vista?
I bought a laptop which came with Vista Home Basic pre-installed and no cd of Vista or primer came with it. I cannot understand the logic of this as eventually there will be enough problems and crashes that will necessitate a re-installation of the OS. How can I make a bootable copy of Vista from the OS for emergencies? TIA
You can't.
This has become a more increasing problem with some computer retailers.
You see they preloaded your computers software and they forget (by design) to include the software Cd's.
You see it saves them a ton of money, and requires the customer to have to repurchase or contact Microsoft, go through all the inconvenience of proofing everything to have to pay for a copy of Vista to be shipped.
I blame the consumer for not demanding all the hard copies of software that is installed on there computers.
Funny thing is just a few short years ago this was a non issue, because you got everything, not so anymore, If they don't furnish everything I simply refuse to do business with them.
