Just put in Radeon Dual Video card, now other video card doesnt work?
I put a ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO dual video card into my HP desktop 62 X2 Dual Core processor with win XP and now the original video card that is on the motherboard is not working. I wanted to use 3 monitors. 2 on the Radeon Dual video card and one on the orignial that is attached to the motherboard.
ATI tech support says it cant be done but I dont believe them.
I am almost certain that this can be done . what do I need to do?
Definitely sounds like it can't be done. The main reason for this is that some programs actually require input from the graphics card to function. Some modern games have problems rendering in SLI because the next frame depends on the last one.
If it is possible to do so it would be through using the on-board graphics processor as a slave card to the ATI. This would be similar to an SLI/Crossfire solution, the problem is that motherboards and graphics cards have to be specifically compatible to the SLI/C. set-up.
