which cpu is better a desktop 2.4ghz pentium dual-core or a laptop 2.0ghz core duo 2?
i know that core duo is better but the pentium has a faster ghz speed. i'm getting a new computer and i found a laptop and desktop with the same price and configuration, the only difference is the processors. which should i go with? help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While Core 2 Duos are the best dual-core CPUs, laptop processors and graphics adapters are slightly less powerful than their desktop counterparts.
In general, desktops are WAY better because you can easily upgrade things like the CPU, video card - even the motherboard. On laptops you're stuck with whatever hardware options it came with, for the lifetime of the unit.
