What is the difference between all the intel processors; centrino duo, core dual, duo 2, extreme??
core2duo is the main intel line right now .. the extreme is the top of that line ... and the quad core is the latest offering i do believe .. anything else from intel is just older designs .. not that they are bad by any means anything P4 and above is decent .. the pentium M is a good chip and a core2 duo is like 2 pentium M cores on a single chip .. so dont expect massive speed increases just more productivity ... and imo honestly hardly nobody flogs a laptop and needs high productivity .. worry more on processor choice in a desktop ur doing heavy mutitasking on ... in other words for a laptop i would NOT spend big bucks on a top of the line processor coz it really wont make a hill of beans difference unlesss u specifically need somthing to say convert two movies to avi from dvd at once and need high productivity ..
