My computer doesn't support Dual Channel memory, Can I put same 512mb & same brand on my memory slot?
I bought 2 sticks of Hynix desktop memory and it has same size of 512mb... but my question is it OK to put it on my computer even if my computer doesn't support DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY? Is there any problem can cause of putting identical pair or not? My board model is GA-8VM800M-775... Can someone tell for my peace of mind... tnx!!!
dual channal just requires that you install 2 RAM sticks at once. if your computer doesn't support dual channel, then you can install any number of sticks (as long as you have a place to put it) you want. it doesn't matter if they are the same brand/size or not.
