The primary difference between the Okidata C6150hdn and other printers in this series is the 40GB hard drive with superior security options. In addition to a greater capacity for storage and complex print queues, this hard drive allows administration to enable passwords to unlock confidential prints. It also offers 256-bit encryption, a secure erase feature, message authentication codes, color print control, and print tracking to determine where and how prints are being made by user. The OKI C6150hdn makes it easier than ever before to moderate prints within the office and to lower costs by reducing waste.
Of course, all the other features on the Okidata C6150hdn are built around a bigger office setting, as well. Resolution is offered at a high 1200 x 600 dpi for both color and monochrome prints, and print speeds can reach up to 32 pages per minute while tapping into the high definition color printing. The 400-sheet paper capacity can be increased to a total of 930 pages overall, and is fully adjustable for use with transparencies, label paper, card stock, envelopes, and even banners. A built-in automated duplex feature makes it easy to create sophisticated documents in-house, or simply to save costs by printing on both sides of the page. Other great options include 256MB of memory (in addition to the 40GB hard drive), networked connectivity options via a built-in Ethernet interface, easy compatibility with both PCs and Macs, and the standard OKI Printing Solutions warranty and support package. The Okidata C6150hdn taps into all the latest in printing technology, including 87 PCL fonts and 136 PostScript fonts.
Because the printer is intended for use with larger print yields within an office setting, the Okidata C6150hdn toner options come in plus-sized packages. Offering up to 8,000 pages of coverage (at 5 percent per page) for Black and up to 6,000 pages for color options, replacement OKI C6150hdn cartridges lower the cost-per-page of prints considerably over other options currently on the market. Black toner is available as cartridge part 43865720, while the color options include Cyan (part 43865719), Magenta (part 43865718), and Yellow (part 43865717). Imaging drums in all four colors are built to yield up to 20,000 pages each.
