How do I reinstall the original Windows XP settings without a boot disk?
My mother has an older computer, which ironically works great, but has Windows XP OS. I am not all that familiar with XP anymore, as I've had Vista for awhile and I was wondering if you could reinstall the factory settings of the computer, from the boot screen (or somewhere else), without the Boot Disk? And if so, please, tell me! I.E. F9 (like on my laptop)... Thanks
There may be a recovery partition (D drive), which would reinstall the o/s to factory settings:
Start>Programs>System Recovery, or at startup you would see a message to press F10 or F11 for recovery.
