How to put Windows 7 disc on usb for reformat?
I need to reformat my laptop, dvd rom busted. And I have the Windows 7 installation disc, but how do I put it on a usb, and then how to boot the usb so I can reformat my laptop? Thanks.
Post the make/model and I'll tell you how to access the recovery partition (if present).
NOTE:Some manufacturers allow a non-destructive recovery.

P.S. Putting the drive in a caddy and trying to install an OS won't work! It has to be in the laptop.
