What is the greatest, latest desktop computer up to date?
I'm considering buying another computer. I have one desktop, Dell Dimension 5120 and it has:
- Intel® Pentium® 4
- Genuine Windows® XP Professional
- Microsoft® Works Suite 2005
- Microsoft® Office 2003 Basic Edition
- 512 MB RAM
- Two 5.25" for CD, CD-RW, DVD, DVD+/-RW1010 or combination drive
- 2 PCI slots
- 8 USB 2.0 ports (2 front, 5 back, 1 internal) and front headphone and microphone jacks
- and 19'' Dell monitor
I'm looking for a desktop computer that is better than this, but I don't know where to start. I did hear that the Pentium D Processor that came out is better than Pentium 4, so I'm looking for a desktop computer with a Pentium D Processor. And I need a 3.5'' floppy disk drive as well (I don't have one on my current desktop comp). Also, I require about the same RAM memory (512 MB or better) and Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. Can someone help me get started on where to look and what to look for?
