My Computer would not turn on?
I have a dimension 5150 desktop and it would not turn on.
First i thought it was a PSU issue so i replaced the PSU but same problem. I noticed however, that a green led thats on the motherboard was lit for both the old and new PSU. What does the green led mean?
Can the problem be with the motherboard? How can i be sure for certain.

The green light means the motherboard is getting power. The only way to truly test where the issue is (if you replaced the power supply already) would be with a multimeter to see where the short in the motherboard is. (Usually where the power supply connects to the motherboard.)
It could be defective hardware to though sucking to much power so it may be worth replacing components with known working ones to test the different areas but if there is a short in the motherboard you risk frying those parts.
