I got a dell windows xp sp2 on a dell that was ment for 2000 and it asks for activation key why?
I do have 2000 on a cd. Should I install it?
while there is nothing wrong w/ either version, if you don't have a key for xp, you're gonna not be able to run it very long. if you like, i have a crack program that tell xp it's been activated, but you can't ever upgrade to sp3 w/ it. just ask and i will upload it to a page and email it to you. otherwise, you may wnat to consider backing up everytihng and installing win 2k.
