WLAN CARD for vista?
I did the dell update before i upgraded to vista. I was doing it and it said i have to PERMANETLY remove my WLAN card. Isnt that my wireless card. They be crazy to think i"ll take that off. So how do i get around this problem. I want wireless internet but i also want to be ready to upgrade to vista whenever i want since i have the dvd already. So please help.
It might suffice if you just disable the WLAN card. There are a few ways to do this but one of them might make it appear invisible to the system. When you first start your computer (before Windows Loads) enter the BIOS. A few pages over you should be able to disable Wireless (which will disable the card). Other ways are to turn it off from the external WLAN button on your computer (if this is a laptop). And the last is to go into your network devices and right click the wlan symbol, and click disable.
