How can I change Dell Latitude D610 ram?
I'm starting to upgrade my laptop, which is a Dell Latitude D610, and I'm confused on upgrading the ram. I know there's a slot right under it, but supposedly there's two slots. How can I find the second one?
I'm trying to get at least 2 GB of ram.
So does that mean I can only have 4 GB of ram between both of the slots together, or for each slot?
We bought 2 new Dell Notebook PCs more than a year ago and my Dell Inspirion E1505/6400 only had 2 GB capacity and both memory modules were in same location on the bottom...so it was simply a matter of buying one 1GB memory module and I bought an original Dell memory on EBAY after carefully checking the Dell website for all the specs as well as looking carefully at the single 1GB memory module itself.
Unfortunately my wife has the Dell Latitude D620 (a business Notebook PC) with 4GB memory capacity but it came with a single 512MB memory module on the bottom. FYI we ended buying two 1GB Dell original memory modules and the 2nd module was located/stored under the keyboard. Why I didn't upgrade hers to 4GB at the time meaning two 2GB memory modules is that 2GB was very pricey whereas 1GB and 512MB modules are much cheaper..though it could be different today.
