HELP! MONITOR USB PORTS ARE NOT WORKING!?
So I have a DELL OPTIPLEX GX620, Windows XP PRO. and my monitor is a DELL 1905FP 19" LCD. It has 4 USB PORTS. 2 ON THE SIDE OF THE SCREEN AND TWO RIGHT UNDER WHERE YOU CONNECT THE VGA CABLE AND THE POWER CORD. When I tried to hook up my ipod and my flash drive it wouldnt pick them up.
PLEASE HELP ME OUT. IS THERE SOME TYPE OF STEP BY STEP ACTIVATION I SHOULD DO, OR GET A CERTAIN TYPE OF USB CABLE TO GET IT TO WORK.

Usually for the USB ports to work, you need either a driver for that monitor, but more likely, you need to run a USB cable from the monitor to your computer's USB port. The monitor is then just a powered USB hub. But, it needs that actual connection to your computer's USB jack. Look for the smaller, rectangular USB connection on the monitor, and if that is there,you need what is called a USB "A-B" cable (different ends)
